More Torrid Growth in 2018 Leads to East Coast Expansion for MDstaffers

Rancho Cordova, CA – one of the fastest growing physician staffing companies in the nation, MDstaffers, expands to the Washington D.C. metro area after another year of hyper-growth in its staffing division for 2018.

After 450 percent growth in 2017, MDstaffers finished with very strong growth of 170 percent in 2018. The majority of the growth came from locum tenens and locums-to-permanent placement services. According to Connie Sweet, MDstaffers Vice President of Recruiting, “the demand across our historical client base for temporary placement services has grown significantly, but has been bolstered by an influx of new clients across the country with several new clients on the East Coast. Our temp-to-perm model has been a hit with our clients allowing them to onboard clinicians more quickly and then work with them for a period to ensure it is a great fit for all parties. Our recruiting team has done a phenomenal job of keeping up with all the increasing and new demands across the nation. Our candidate database and referral network continues to produce superior results and we have expanded our efforts to pilot and cultivate several new technical innovations to engage potential candidates in active and passive electronic communications.”

“Having a service delivery team on the East Coast is essential to best understand and service our growing client base there” says Tyler Covey, CEO, of MDstaffers and MDexperts. “We have tapped industry veteran, John Storey, to lead our initial East Coast office. John has extensive experience in healthcare and technology consulting and is a perfect fit to bring the collaborative, consultative, and innovative technology-based and service-based staffing services desired by our clientele. His experience includes working with healthcare companies across the nation and being the Director of Provider Services for the Los Angeles behemoth LA Care—so he has a deep understanding of both clinician and healthcare facility needs and priorities.”

MDstaffers’ new DC area office, which opened in February 2019, is located at 8001 Forbes Place, North Springfield, VA 22151. This suburb of DC has a robust and educated workforce that will be key to growing our internal capabilities in the area.

MDstaffers reports that December 2018 was its biggest month ever and 2019 is off to another amazing start—highlighted by the recent signing of a top five non-profit hospital system to go along with its base of several other top 20 for-profit and non-profit hospital systems. MDstaffers also serves several dozen private and community clinics and government entities nationally. According to its CEO, “MDstaffers was formed to make professional recruiting services affordable and available for healthcare facilities of all sizes. It’s refreshing to see that even the largest players in the healthcare system appreciate and recognize the results and value we are bringing.”

Established in 2010, MDstaffers is dedicated to providing specialized recruiting and management services to the medical community. MDstaffers provides permanent and temporary staffing of physicians, advanced practitioners, and executives of all specialties to hospitals, clinics, private practices, and government entities nationally. MDstaffers also provides staffing consulting and medical expert witnesses for legal proceedings via its expert witness service, MDexperts. The organization is headquartered in Rancho Cordova, a suburb of Sacramento, California and serves its East Coast clients via its office in Springfield, VA.
